The Australian Pink Floyd Show (APFS) is a tribute band that has been performing since 1988. Formed by a group of musicians from Adelaide, Australia, the band has seen immense success in both their home country and abroad. With their renowned attention to detail and note-perfect live performances of Pink Floyd’s classic tunes, APFS has become a household name for fans of the legendary British rock group.
The group was founded in 1988 by guitarist Jason Sawford, keyboardist/vocalist Steve Mac and drummer/vocalist Paul Bonney. They were soon joined by bassist/vocalist Colin Wilson and lead vocalist/guitarist David Domminney Fowler. The five-piece band quickly earned a reputation for their faithful renditions of Pink Floyd’s songs, and their live shows soon sold out in Australia.
The band’s popularity soon spread to the United Kingdom, where they began to tour in the early 2000s. They released their first album, Echoes, in 2006 and have since released two live albums, two studio albums and two compilations. The band has also performed at some of the most renowned venues in the world, including the Royal Albert Hall and Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Today, the Australian Pink Floyd Show continues to tour around the world, performing their faithful renditions of Pink Floyd’s greatest hits. With their commitment to delivering a spectacular live show each night, they have become one of the most beloved tribute bands in the world.
